Free to Brie You and Me Burger

What really makes us happy — little things like the smile of a child, or material possessions, like an espresso machine?

We meet the Belchers in the restaurant, where Bob unveils his newest addition — an espresso machine. Tina sips the inaugural cup (Teddy passes because of the cup’s small size) and enters a new world of caffeinated courage. At the same time, Linda signs Gene up for a baseball league.

Turns out, athleticism is not one gene that Gene has. Linda finds a shady baseball coach and needs to come up with the $495 cost — a hefty sum that results in her pawning the expresso machine.

Upon uncovering the truth, a furious Bob heads to reclaim his money. But ultimately, the happiness of his son outshines his need for validation. Gene gets a hit (but I really think it was an error) and proves he has the chops for the game.

Review

The Free to Brie You and Me Burger is an 80/20 Worcestershire-infused patty formed around cubes of brie, topped with caramelized onions, more brie, and sweet gherkins, all nestled inside of a brioche bun.

This is another outstanding burger. The brie inside the burger is extremely fun. You hit these pockets of cheese that brighten your day. Like Teddy during Tina’s espresso hallucination, you will find yourself wide-eyed and ready to take on the world once you fall into the melty brie cheese.

You can never go wrong with caramelized onions, and this is no exception. The Worcestershire sauce adds a nice little zip, but the real winner in this burger are the sweet gherkins. They take this ooey-gooey mess and cut some acidic sweetness. This burger lives on the sweetness spectrum, and hits all over the map.

You cannot go wrong with this burger.
